Day 1: Arrival and Hotel Transfer
On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met and received by your driver guide from African Crane safaris who will then brief you as he transfers you to your hotel for overnight (depending on your arrival time)
Day 2: Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park.
After an early morning breakfast, depart Kampala for Kibale forest national park via Mityana Mubende road. Arriving for your lunch in Fort Portal town, after lunch, transfer for a visit to the Tooro Kingdom palace of the youngest king ever crowned in the world, proceed to Amabere ga Nyinamwiru a famous cultural site attached to the Tooro kingdom and if time allows, visit the crater lakes.
All with a rich and rewarding cultural history. Returning to transfer to your hotel for overnight OR After lunch transfer to Bigodi for an afternoon Swamp/community walk that allow an opportunity to view a great number of primates and bird species, interact with the local communities around before transferring to your lodge/hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking (Kibale) – Queen Elizabeth
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the chimpanzee tracking information office for a pre-briefing by your ranger guides who will then lead you into the rain forest tracking these primates (Chimpanzees). These primates are very mobile and viewing them is unpredictable but forest walk is an enriching activity that starts at 8.00 am taking about 4 to 5 hours.
This forest is home to large numbers of chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed, grey cheeked mangabeys, birds, and butterflies. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora. This will see you return to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with your parked lunch following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey.
On arrival at the park, head to the Mweya peninsula to enjoy a unique two hours boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This launch cruise gives you a great opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing at close range. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species, returning for an evening game drive before transferring to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Gorilla Forest National Park
After an early morning warm up tea or coffee, you will head for a game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens mile in search of animals like: lions, elephants, cape buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs and, if you’re lucky the leopard, and a great number of bird species, this will see you return for a full breakfast, relax at your lodge before checking out to transfer to Bwindi with your parked lunch via the Ishasha sector of the tree climbing lions, take an en-route game drive in this sector of the park in search of the tree climbing lions before proceeding later to Bwindi impenetrable gorilla forest national park through the beauties of Kigezi highlands in the beauties of the ‘’Switzerland of Africa’’. Arriving for an easy evening dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking (Bwindi)
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the gorilla tracking information office for a pre-briefing by the ranger guides who will then lead you into the forest trekking this great relatives of ours (Gorillas). The rainforest is dense and is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, the thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is a memorable one. Gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other. After this day’s gorgeous adventure, you will return to your lodge and if time allows, transfer for a short community walk to see this local people’s way of life and cultures or just relax at your lodge, dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Bwindi – Lake mburo National Park
On this day, after your breakfast, you will transfer from Bwindi to Mabarara via Kabale that allows you a stopover in Kabale town visiting the Edirisa Museum as you transfer to Lake Mburo arriving for an enroute game drive to your lodge for lunch, after lunch transfer for an afternoon boat ride on lake Mburo’s numerous lakes. Return to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Lake Mburo – Kampala/Airport Transfer
After an early morning warm up tea/coffee, transfer for a walking safari, returning for a full breakfast before checking out to take an en-route game drive as you transfer back to Kampala with a lunch break in Masaka town, after lunch proceed to Kampala via the Equator where you will make a brief stopover to perform a simple experiment and experience a tropical balance, take a look at the traditional drums and crafts being made, proceeding to arrive in Kampala/Entebbe late afternoon. Relax into the evening, dinner and overnight. (Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home. Otherwise an overnight stay for next day’s flight is recommended for your relaxation/rest as you prepare for your flight.)
