Day 1: Arrival and Hotel Transfer
On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met and received by your driver guide from African Crane Safaris who will then brief you as he transfers you to your hotel for overnight (depending on your arrival time)
Day 2: Kampala– Jinja
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Eastern town of Jinja also known as the adventure capital, on your way, you will visit Sezibwa Falls famous for its magical waters (it’s a place believed to have spiritual solutions to women seeking love favors, business, Jobs among others), proceeding to Jinja via Mabira forest and through the beautiful views of Sugar cane and tea plantations. On arrival, you will proceed to visit the source of the Nile before taking your lunch at Sun set hotel international or similar, after lunch, transfer for a visit to Bujagali falls and adrift camp before returning to Kampala for an easy evening, dinner and overnight at Cassia lodge.
Day 3: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park.
After an early morning breakfast, depart Kampala driving northwest to Murchison Falls National Park that allows you an en-route stop over at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a nature walk tracking the rhinos in the wild, transfer for your lunch at Masindi town before proceeding to Murchison Falls, the largest national park in Uganda. On arrival, you will take a late afternoon visit to the top of the Murchison falls. Proceed to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park.
After an early morning breakfast at 7:00am, you will embark on a morning game drive to the Northern bank where your guide will help you spot a great number of animal and bird species. Return to your lodge, relax into the lunch break and after lunch, you will take a 3 hours boat ride on the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls” This is also the habitat for many bird species. There is an option of hiking to the top of the falls. It is an exciting experience that brings you very close to the rushing whitewater as it squeezes itself through the narrow crevice below. The resulting mist from the turbulence often produces rainbows. Returning later to your lodge for a relaxed evening dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast depart Murchison Falls and drive Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley through Hoima, home to Bunyoro Kitara kingdom, passing through verdant countryside traditional homesteads and tea plantations. You will arrive in Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom late afternoon- proceeding to arrive at the Park, dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Kibale Forest National Park
This morning after your early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Chimpanzee tracking information office for a pre-briefing by the ranger guides who will then lead you into the rain forest tracking these great primates (chimpanzees). These primates are very mobile and viewing them is unpredictable but a forest walk is an enriching activity that starts at 8.00 am in the morning taking about 4 to 5 hours. This forest is home to a large number of chimpanzees and other primates including Lhoestes, Red-colobus, Blues, Red-tailed, grey cheeked mangabeys, birds, and butterflies. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora. Return later for your lunch, after lunch, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park, following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey. Have a game drive en-route, arriving at the Lodge, with its wonderful location on top of the Mweya peninsula Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning warm up tea or coffee, transfer for a game drive in search of animals such as lions, Kobs, Topis and many others. Driving back to the lodge for a late breakfast, relax into the lunch hour, after lunch , enjoy a unique two hours boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. This launch cruise gives you a great opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Forest
After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi with your packed lunch, via Ishasha sector of the tree climbing lions, if you’re lucky may come across some of this great Cats resting on/under the trees. The landscape is open savannah with acacia trees take an en-route game drive as you proceed through the beautiful valleys of the Kigezi also known as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’ to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking (Bwindi)
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the gorilla trekking information office for a pre-briefing by the park rangers who will then lead you into the gorilla sanctuary. The rainforest is dense and is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, the thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is an exciting and memorable experience. Gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other, this will see you return for a relaxed afternoon into the evening or if time allows take a guided nature/village walk/bicycle riding around the local communities, dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Bwindi – Lake Mburo National Park
After your breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest national park in Uganda; on arrival at the park, you will take an en route game drive to your lodge, arriving to have a late lunch at the lodge, after lunch, relax into the evening as you enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Mburo, diner and overnight.
Day 11: Lake Mburo National Park
After an early morning breakfast, take a game drive in search of the beautiful impalas, zebras, cape buffalos, elands, oribi, topis among others. Return for your lunch. After lunch, enjoy a boat trip on Lake Mburo’s numerous lakes. The park is a very good opportunity for bird watchers, who will enjoy more than 250 species of birds found here. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 12: Lake Mburo – Kampala After your breakfast, take an en-route game drive as you depart Lake Mburo back to Kampala via the equator that allows you a stopover at the equator to perform a simple experiment and experience a tropical balance here, proceeding later to arrive in Kampala, check inn and later proceed to go shopping, handcrafts and souvenirs. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13: Ngamba Island/Airport Transfer
After your early breakfast, transfer to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre from where you will take a boat transfer to Ngamba Island, where you will have a chance to view and optionally take part in feeding this orphaned and rescued Chimpanzees, returning later for your lunch on the main land with a chance to visit Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, freshen up before the final transfer to the airport to catch your flight back home, having covered a cross section of attractions of probably one of the greenest countries on earth.
