Day 1: Arrival and Hotel Transfer
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met and warmly received by our representative who will then brief you as he transfers you to your hotel for overnight (depending on your arrival time)
Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park
After an early morning breakfast, depart Kampala for Murchison Falls National Park. That allows you an en-route visit to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking proceeding later for lunch in Masindi town. On arrival at the park, you will encounter a variety of bird species, monkeys, baboons, buffalos among others as you proceed for a visit to the top of the falls. This will see you return to check in your lodge, relaxing in the evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Murchison Falls
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a morning game drive to the Northern bank where your guide will help you spot a great number of animal and bird species. Return to the lodge for a lunch break and after lunch, you will take a 3 hours boat ride on the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls” This is also the habitat for many bird species.
There is an option of hiking to the top of the falls. It is an exciting experience that brings you very close to the rushing whitewater as it squeezes itself through the narrow crevice below. The resulting mist from the turbulence often produces rainbows. Return later for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls with your parked lunch and drive Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley through Hoima, home to Bunyoro kingdom passing through verdant countryside tea plantations and traditional homesteads. You will arrive in Fort Portal the capital of the Tooro kingdom late in the afternoon, relax into the evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking (Kibale)
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the chimpanzee tracking information office for a pre-briefing by your ranger guides who will then lead you into the rain forest tracking these primates (Chimpanzees). These primates are very mobile and viewing them is unpredictable but a forest walk is an enriching activity that starts at 8.00 am taking about 4 to 5 hours.
This forest is home to a large number of chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed, grey cheeked mangabeys, birds, and butterflies. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora.
This will see you return to have your lunch at Primate Lodge, after lunch, transfer to bigodi community initiative for a swamp/community walk that allows you a great opportunity for more primate and bird watching and interaction with the local communities, returning later for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park that allows you an en-route visit to the Tooro Kingdom palace, Amabere ga Nyinamuiru a famous cultural site attached to the Tooro Kingdom and to the crater lakes, returning to have your lunch in Fort Portal town before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth national park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey. On arrival at the park, take an en-route game drive as you head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning warm up tea or coffee, you will head for a game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens mile in search of animals like: lions, elephants, cape buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs and, if you’re lucky, the leopard, and a great number of bird species, return for a full breakfast, relaxing into the lunch break and after lunch you will be transferred to enjoy a unique two hours boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
This launch cruise gives you a great opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing at close range. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Forest
On this day, after your early breakfast, transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park with you parked lunch via the Ishasha sector of the tree climbing lions. We will take an en-route game drive here in search of the tree climbing lions as we proceed to Bwindi through the Kigezi highlands in the beauties of the ‘‘Switzerland of Africa’’, arriving to check in your lodge, relax into the evening as you enjoy the spectacular views from your lodge and a cool conducive climate, dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking (Bwindi)
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the gorilla tracking information office for a pre-briefing by the park rangers who will then lead you into the forest trekking this great relatives of ours (Mountain gorillas). The rainforest is dense and is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails.
The thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas as they interact with each other is a memorable one. After this day’s gorgeous adventure, you will return for lunch (if not parked), transfer for a late afternoon community walk or visit the pygmies to see this people’s way of life and cultures. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 10: Bwindi – Kampala.
After an early morning breakfast, transfer back to Kampala via Mbarara that allows you a lunch break in Masaka town. proceeding to Kampala with a brief stopover at the Equator to perform a simple experiment and experience a tropical balance, take a look at the traditional drums and crafts being made before proceeding to arrive in Kampala, relax at your hotel after a long day’s drive. Dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Kampala – Jinja- Kampala
After an early morning breakfast, transfer to the Eastern town of Jinja also known as the adventure capital for yet another exciting adventure parked day.
On this day, you will either start with a visit to the famous Sezibwa falls (a local ‘Luganda’ word to mean I/my way cannot be blocked) famous for its magical healing waters and cultural/ritual practices where its believed that people go to seek good luck for their businesses, a good harvest, love favors and child sex choice among others, proceeding later to Jinja via the Mabira forest through the beautiful tea and sugar cane plantations, on arrival, you will take a visit to the source of the Nile river, returning to have your lunch before proceeding to visit Bujagali falls, and adrift camp. Returning to Kampala later in the day for a free thanks and familiarization dinner and cultural performance at Ndere Centre.OR
Take a full day white water rafting, the Nile high Bungy jumping, Wild speed boat on the Nile, Kayaking, Quad biking, horse riding among other adventure parked activities here (however each of the activities requires an earlier booking and attracts a fee please)
Day 12: Airport transfer.
Enjoy breakfast and transfer to Entebbe airport for your onward flight.
