18 Best of Kenya Safaris and Tours


Day 1: Arrival and Hotel Transfer.
On arrival, you will be met and received at the airport by your driver guide from African Crane Safaris who will then brief you as he transfers you to your hotel for overnight(depending on the time of your arrival)

Day 2: Nairobi – Samburu Game Reserve
After your breakfast at 9:30 am, you will depart Nairobi through the rich agricultural farmland on the slopes of Mount Kenya to the mainly dry scrub land and open savannah plains of Samburu Game Reserve. This is where the Ewaso Nyiro River supports a wide variety of wildlife like: The buffalos, cheetah, leopards, lions, elephants, Gravy’s zebra, Oryx, reticulated giraffes, and the long-necked gerenuk among others

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve
After an early breakfast, transfer for this day’s activity where you will spend the morning and early afternoon viewing the game in the reserve, returning later for lunch and after lunch, take a freshening dip in the Buffalo Springs, returning later for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Samburu – Lake Baringo
On this day, after an early morning breakfast, you will take a scenic drive to the west across the Lerochi Plateau that allows you an enroute lunch, descending through the Great Rift Valley floor. This will see you arrive at Lake Baringo later in the afternoon. Lake Baringo is a fresh water lake renown to be a bird-watching center in Kenya with a resident ornithologist. The lake also supports hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Baringo.
On this day, you will spend the rest of the day exploring this fresh water lake also termed us Kenya’s birding paradise, where birders will have a wonderful treat to this Fresh water lake, relax at the lake side as you view a huge brigade of Hippos and Crocodiles here, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Baringo – Lake Nakuru
After an early morning breakfast, transfer southwards via Lake Bogoria, a shallow soda lake with beautiful sceneries and also home to a number of flamingoes and other bird species. The great attraction however, is the boiling hot springs that contribute to the beauty of the lake scenery. After lunch we will proceed to Lake Nakuru, yet another shallow soda lake otherwise known as "an anthologists' paradise and one of the world's most magnificent sights." Here one is likely to see well over a million flamingoes as well as tens of thousands of other bird species. The Lake also has a rhino sanctuary and also harbors lions, warthogs, waterbucks, buffaloes, hippo and many other animals.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru.
On this day, after an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to explore this lake’s rich bird and animal life; this will see you return for a rewarding relaxed evening, dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara
After your breakfast, transfer further south to Narok arriving for your lunch, after lunch, you will spend the rest of the day relaxing at this amazing part of the world, dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 9: Maasai Mara
On this day, you will treat yourself in the ‘New York’ of the natural world exploring the park’s amazing concentration of wildlife like elephants, zebra, rhinos, lions among others throughout the year, with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti mainly in July and August. This will see you return to your lodge for relaxation after this day’s great wild exploration. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Maasai Mara.
After your breakfast, you will yet again take a second treat to this amazing national park, exploring various areas of high game concentration, after exploring the natural world, you will enjoy and have yet a different twist, this time a once in a life time cultural performance of the renown MAASAI culture that sums up your stay at this great national park, dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
After an early morning breakfast, transfer back to Nairobi through the northern part of the park to the main Narok road that allows you a stopover at Narok take a look at the traditional Maasai Souvenirs here as you buy some of your interest, relax and interact on a cup of coffee before proceeding to arrive in Nairobi, check into your hotel and relax for the rest of the evening or if time allows on your interest, take a short city tour of Nairobi, dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Nairobi - Amboseli
After an early morning breakfast, you will depart Nairobi transferring to Amboseli via Namanga on the Tanzanian border, arriving in the afternoon taking an enroute game drive to your lodge for a late lunch; relax into the evening, dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Amboseli
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to explore this wonderful park with a backdrop of the magnificent snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro. Water from the melted snow drains down the mountain under lava flows and surface on the Amboseli plains, creating a green belt of swampland amidst dusty plains. Besides, you will treat yourself with wonderful wildlife species like: Elephants, Hippos, buffalos, Lions, cheetah, wildebeests, hyenas, jackal, zebras and Maasai giraffes, as you enjoy a wonderful treat of this great park, returning later to your lodge for a rewarding relaxed evening, dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Amboseli - Tsavo West
After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park with am enroute lunch that allows you a visit to the Chyulu Hills and Mzima Springs - favorite haunts of both the Hippos and Crocodiles that can be seen with an underwater observation chamber. You will then spend the rest of the day relaxing at your lodge, dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Tsavo West
On this day, you will spend most of the day exploring this park’s rare attractions and the enriching and rewarding nature trails. After this day’s activities, you will return to your lodge for a relaxed evening interacting with each other and sharing experiences, dinner and overnight.

Day 16: Tsavo East
After an early morning breakfast, transfer to Tsavo East once famous for its great herds of Elephants with beasts still found here, you will take the rest of the day relaxing at your lodge or transfer for an evening game viewing experience before returning for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 17: Tsavo East - Mombasa
After an early morning warm up tea/coffee, you will be transferred for your last wildlife encounter (game drive), returning to your lodge for a full breakfast and check out to transfer to Mombasa for a cool relaxed all exclusive evening as you share memories of your great experience of Kenya’s natural wild and adventure (this is an evening/night thanks/give back from the management and staff of African Crane Safaris as we believe in you departing as a friend)

Day 18: Airport Transfer.
On this day, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home (depending on your departure). However, if time allows you may be transferred to do some shopping before the airport transfer.
